About the Role:
As Lead Teacher / Assistant Director, you will be responsible for:

Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children in the program, leading classroom activities
Training, supervising, mentoring, coaching and evaluating teaching staff
Implementing good management procedures
Developing age-appropriate curricula in conjunction with the staff
Administering and enforcing all appropriate local, state and federal guidelines
Additional administrative facility responsibilities, as needed
Basic Qualifications:

Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
Proven experience in a leadership role within a childcare center or similar setting.
Strong understanding of state licensing regulations and compliance requirements.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Organizational and administrative skills, including budget management.
Meets or willing to obtain the following certifications prior to hire:

CPR/First Aid, CPR/AED
ITC
Food Handling Certification
Gateway member and Director Level 1
